About us

Amici di Casa Jorn is a social promotion association founded in 2015 with the aim of channeling energy and resources into a project to enhance and support the Asger Jorn House Museum in Albissola Marina. The association was born from the meeting and desire of various professionals in the fields of management, conservation and promotion of art and cultural heritage.

Staff

Stella Cattaneo

Graduated in History of Art and Valorisation of the Artistic Heritage at the University of Genoa. Her research interests are mainly focused on contemporary art with particular attention to the postwar period and the work of Yves Klein. At Casa Museo Jorn she has mainly been involved in curating exhibitions, organizing events and mediation since 2016.

Daniele Panucci

Graduated in History of Art and enhancement of the artistic heritage at the University of Genoa (110/110 cum laude). His research interests, conveyed in the degree thesis discussed in March 2019 (The villa of Asger Jorn in Albissola Marina: from an enthralling maison to a museum house), are mainly addressed to the art of the second half of the twentieth century, with particular attention to the figure and the work of Asger Jorn. He holds the role of treasurer of the Friends of Casa Jorn Association, of which he has been a member for more than two years, with delegation of curatorship, teaching and cultural mediation.

Alessia Piva

Graduating in History of Art at the University of Genoa. He has a three-year degree in Conservation of Cultural Heritage, with a thesis on the Oratory of the Risen Christ in Savona. As part of the Museo Senior project, she dedicated herself to monitoring and analyzing visitors. At Casa Museo Jorn deals with mediation.

Our history

The Friends of Casa Jorn association for social promotion was founded in 2015 thanks to Luca Bochiccho, Ginevra Domenichini and Danilo Giusto with the desire to enhance Casa Museo Jorn and improve its knowledge and usability.
In collaboration with the Municipality of Albissola Marina, Amici di Casa Jorn has been managing the museum since 2015 and has worked with passion, helping to make Jorn's villa a lively and creative place to experience art, culture and contemporary research.
In pursuing its mission, the Association creates tour itineraries and offers workshops and activities for its members, visitors and schools. In partnership with national and international institutions, it curates contemporary art exhibitions and other events that aspire to serve a wide and varied audience. By doing so, it actively contributes to promoting an economic and social resource for the territory in concert with the other realities of Albissola.
